HBNO® Organic Eucalyptus Radiata Essential Oil is steam-distilled from fresh, certified-organic Eucalyptus radiata leaves, the "narrow-leaved peppermint" species prized by aromatherapists as the softer, sweeter cousin of Eucalyptus Globulus. With a naturally balanced 60–75% 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) content, Radiata offers a fresh, clean aromatic profile that is popular in diffuser blends and home fragrance routines.. Three drops in an ultrasonic diffuser creates a fresh, uplifting atmosphere; a teaspoon of carrier oil plus two drops can be used in a gentle topical aromatic massage blend; a few drops in a DIY spray can be used to refresh indoor environments and high-touch areas. Every batch is lab-verified for cineole content and microbial purity, no solvents, no fillers, no shortcuts. USDA Certified Organic. Cruelty-Free. Lab-Tested.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Both are eucalyptus essential oils with distinct aromatic profiles. Eucalyptus radiata has a lower 1,8-cineole content (60–75%) and a softer, sweeter aroma, making it a popular choice for daily diffusion and general home fragrance use.Eucalyptus globulus has a higher cineole content (63–85%) and a sharper, more intense aroma profile.Radiata is often preferred for everyday aromatic use due to its softer scent, while Globulus is selected for stronger, more robust fragrance applications. Many aromatherapy enthusiasts choose based on personal scent preference and intended use in diffuser blends.
Eucalyptus Radiata is often described as having a softer, milder aroma compared to Eucalyptus globulus, which makes it a popular choice for general home fragrance and diffuser blends.Because essential oils are highly concentrated, they should always be used with care in shared household environments and properly diluted before any topical application. For family use, many people prefer lighter diffusion in well-ventilated spaces and adjust usage based on personal preference and sensitivity. As with all essential oils, usage should be guided by general safety awareness and individual circumstances.
Cats: No. Eucalyptus oil (all species, including Radiata) is toxic to cats because they lack the liver enzymes to metabolize its compounds — never diffuse in a room a cat cannot leave, and never apply it to a cat's skin or bedding. Dogs: With caution. Diluted diffusion in a well-ventilated space is generally considered low-risk for healthy adult dogs, but never apply topically without a vet's guidance, and never diffuse around puppies, brachycephalic breeds, or dogs with respiratory conditions. When in doubt, diffuse in a cat- and pet-free room.
No. Like all essential oils, Eucalyptus Radiata must always be diluted in a carrier oil before topical application. A safe adult dilution is 1–2% for facial or sensitive skin (1 drop per teaspoon of carrier oil) and 2–3% for chest rubs and body use. Radiata is gentler than Globulus, but undiluted use can still cause irritation, sensitization, or — in rare cases — chemical burns. Always patch-test on the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before full application.
Store in a sealed dark glass bottle (amber or cobalt) away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Ideal temperature range is 60–75°F (15–24°C). Avoid stovetops, sunny windowsills, and humid bathroom counters. When properly stored, Eucalyptus Radiata has a minimum shelf life of 4 years. If the oil's aroma becomes more turpentine-like or loses its sweetness, it has likely oxidized — discard it, as oxidized eucalyptus oil is less effective and can irritate the skin.
For diffusers: Start with 3–5 drops of Eucalyptus Radiata per 100 ml of water; adjust up for larger rooms or down for sensitive users. Diffuse in 30-minute intervals rather than continuously. For adult chest rubs: Use a 2–3% dilution — roughly 12–18 drops per 1 oz (30 ml) of carrier oil such as coconut, jojoba, or sweet almond. For steam inhalation: Add only 1–2 drops to a bowl of just-boiled water, drape a towel over your head, and inhale for 5 minutes with eyes closed. Less is always more with steam inhalation.

Testimonials

The Gentle Household Essential

I switched from Globulus to Radiata because I prefer its softer, sweeter aroma in our living space — this one is SO much gentler and more pleasant in the room, and even my toddler seems more comfortable around it now. The organic certification gave me total peace of mind.

The Aromatherapy Gold Standard

'm an aromatherapy student and I tested three 'organic' eucalyptus radiata oils side by side — HBNO's had the cleanest, sweetest top note and the most consistent cineole profile. At $3.25 per ounce on the 4 oz bottle, it's by far the best value in the certified organic category. Genuinely impressed.

The Dreamy Nighttime Mist

I use this in a DIY pillow mist with lavender and it has become my nightly sleep ritual — I find it helps me unwind and settle in before sleep.. The scent is softer than any eucalyptus I've tried before, almost fruity. Will be repurchasing in the 16 oz soon."

The Transparent Value King

Bought this to replace the big-brand MLM eucalyptus I was paying triple for, and honestly the HBNO version is just as effective in the diffuser if not better. I love the transparency on the cineole range — no other retail brand on Amazon actually tells you that number.

The Sensitive Skin Solution

I have super sensitive skin and most eucalyptus oils irritate me even when diluted, but Radiata is genuinely gentle — I use it in a 1% blend on my temples during allergy season and have had zero reactions in 3 months of daily use. The 4 oz bottle lasts forever. Real 5-star product.
