What is the minimum bulk order for batch-specific GC/MS testing and custom private label packaging?

Minimum 25L for accessed batch-specific GC/MS reports and private label bottling. Orders under 25L receive reference GC/MS documentation from the most recent batch shipment. Custom formulation requests (dilution, blending, or custom ratio adjustment) require 50L minimum. Contact customer service for special project quotes below stated minimums.

Can I use HBNO lemon oil in fragrance products for the EU market without EU organic certification?

Yes. Conventional essential oils are permitted in EU fragrance and cosmetic products. HBNO's CoA, SDS and IFRA certificate support your product safety assessment. HBNO lemon oil is not EU Organic certified.

Is HBNO lemon oil ISO 9001 certified or pharmaceutical grade?

No. HBNO lemon oil is cosmetic grade and meets the FEMA/GRAS food-grade standard. It is not ISO 9001 certified or pharmaceutical grade.

Cold-pressed vs distilled lemon oil: what is the difference?

Cold-pressed oil is expressed from the peel and keeps the bright, juicy note. It contains furocoumarins, which IFRA limits in leave-on skin products. Distilled lemon is furocoumarin-free with a softer note.

Is lemon oil stable in cold-process soap?

It survives saponification, but lemon is a fast-fading top note in cured bars. Add at trace and anchor it with a base note or fixative for scent retention.

Is there a difference between lemon oil and lemon essential oil?

In trade use, both mean the cold-pressed peel oil of Citrus limon. Neither is lemon extract, an alcohol-based flavoring, nor lemon fragrance oil, which is a compounded scent.

How should bulk lemon oil be stored, and does it go off?

Store in full, airtight, UV-protective glass, aluminum or lined-steel containers at 15–25 °C. Limonene oxidizes on air exposure; shelf life is 2 years once opened.

What are your minimum order quantities?

There is no minimum order quantity. Sizes run from 1/3 oz evaluation samples to 25 kg pails, drums from 25-180 kg, and totes or pallets on LTL freight. Wholesale pricing is tiered, so request a quote against your target volume.

Do you provide Certificates of Analysis and SDS?

Yes. Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis, a Safety Data Sheet, an allergen statement and IFRA documentation, and batch testing is available on request. GC/MS testing is done in our own lab in Chico rather than sent out, so the data behind the CoA is ours.
